Rachet and lock your blade to the depth you desire with the easy to use wheel mechanism. This knife comes with a micro-honed blade to retain its sharp edges longer than your standard utility knife.

Built Tough for the Trades, the OLFA 18mm L-1 Ratchet Lock Utility Knife for construction and industrial tasks. With a durable ABS plastic handle, this classic knife is resilient enough for any trade. The contoured handle fits in hand for all-day comfort. The ratchet-style blade lock secures the blade in place. A stainless-steel blade channel supports the length of the blade for powerful cutting.

This ratchet-lock snap knife comes preloaded with a tough Silver Snap Blade. Each blade has eight (8) deep-etched grooves to provide a new blade in seconds. For a fresh edge, snap off the used section and keep on working. A tool-free blade change keeps you moving all day long.

OLFA® brand blades are made with top quality materials, forged with technologies that stem from traditional sword-making, sharpened with technologies that give a blade life, and ultimately finished with the craftsmanship that brings all of this together. The holders and handles that allow users to gain the full cutting performance of these high-quality blades are designed, developed and manufactured in Japan and subjected to stringent quality checks throughout the process. The name Olfa comes from two Japanese words meaning "to break a blade." In 1956 they invented the snap off utility blade after founder Yoshio Okada was inspired by breaking pieces off a chocolate bar, and by the snap edges of broken glass. This snap off blade design has been copied and used around the world, but the Olfa quality standard cannot be duplicated. In 1979 Olfa also introduced the world's first rotary cutter, great for fabric, the blade rolls along, cutting as it goes.
