Liquitex Professional Acylic Mediums Airbrush Medium - Adjust color and mediums to a water-like state ready for airbrush application.
What it does:-Pre-filtered and pre-reduced to thin all consistencies of acrylic paint and mediums ready for spray techniques-Reduces airbrush clogging and paint build-up around nozzle-Increases transparency-Makes paint behave like a watercolor, wash or stain-Slightly extends open time-Mixes well with other mediums to adjust body and handling qualities-Maintains acrylic stability, paint adhesion, durability and archival quality-Ideal for dry and hot climates
How to use it:-Fully intermixable with all Liquitex products-Start by using in a 1:1 ratio with Soft Body Acrylic or Acrylic Ink, adjusting levels according to color chosen as each varies due to pigment size and and concentration-Airbrush nozzle size and spraying pressure will determine your ratio, so experiment to get the optimum mix-Stir gently until the mixture is fully blended - if bubbles appear, leave it to sit while the bubbles rise and disappear-If using with Heavy Body, strain once mixed to remove any particles of undissolved color-Clean out immediately after use before acrylic has a chance to dry
How not to use it:-Do not allow paint to dry in the airbrush - always wash it through with warm soapy water, a water/ammonia mixture, airbrush cleaner or alcohol-Do not shake-Do not use with any non-acrylic media
The Cincinnati, Ohio based company Permanent Pigments created Liquitex, the first water-based acrylic paint for artists in 1955. The name Liquitex stands for "Liquid texture." The Liquitex brand has been at the forefront of paint ever since, leading the industry with a number of firsts, Gloss and Matte Meduims, Hue colours in place of more expensive pigments, iridescent acrylics and many more.
