Sensing that autumn afternoon when the world seems to be offering everything it has all at once, Dawn Cooper has bottled that feeling here, arranging pumpkins and persimmons, fly agaric mushrooms and spiky chestnuts, poppy seed heads and maple leaves across a backdrop of deep, velvety plum. The result is less botanical chart than a love letter to the season, each element rendered with a folk-art warmth and a jeweler's attention to colour.

At 1,000 pieces, this puzzle rewards the slow pace that fall invites. The rich purple ground anchors the composition and gives puzzlers a satisfying challenge, while the variety of organic shapes from the fan of a lotus pod to the jagged edge of an oak leaf keeps each sorting session genuinely engaging. It's the kind of puzzle that earns a permanent place on the shelf long after it's complete, and a generous gift for anyone who marks the season by bringing the outside in.
