The History of Derwent goes back to 1916 in Keswick, England, when it was known as The Cumberland Pencil Company.  But the tradition of pencil-making in the area goes back to 1832.  With a new factory opened in Lillyhall, England in 2008, Derwent looks to continue this heritage far into the future, making most of their products in the UK.  They have a long history of safety and innovation, each product is subjected to rigorous testing, for strength and lightfastness.  All Derwent products are non-toxic and some are even vegan.
