With a unique formulation, Contrast paints have many uses. They can be applied over a white basecoat to base, shade, and layer a miniature in one go, or they can be used to glaze or tint other paints.

• You can use Contrast paints straight from the pot. Simply apply them onto a miniature basecoated with Grey Seer, Wraitbone, or White Scar.
• You can wick the paint away if you have applied too much – it will flow into recesses and apply pigment to the raised areas. Apply another coat if you want a richer colour!
• If you want a subtler effect, thin your Contrast paints using Contrast Medium. To do this, mix them on a palette.
• You can also apply Contrast over metallics or other colours, to create blends, transitions or glazes. Just make sure you start thin, and work up.
• All Citadel paints are water-based acrylic that are designed for use on plastic, metal, and resin Citadel miniatures.
• One pot contains 18ml of Contrast paint.
